Coach goes ballistic!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When we got married, she had 4 children and I had two. Today, we’re a blended family with 6 children, 2 of whom have left the nest. We regularly meet stepfamilies too, who ask us a question: “Do you also sometimes get angry and shout?” It’s a question that seems to disturb more than one person. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yes, I get angry, and even as a coach we can teach others to manage their emotions, but the biggest lesson we all have to learn is that human beings are not perfect. I sometimes lose it, and sometimes I even say to my wife that we should start a Youtube or Insta channel “le coach p\u00e8te les plombs” (“the coach loses it”). So the question isn’t whether you lose it or not, but rather how to deal with it and make it happen less and less. Anger in the home most often stems from a lack of communication or framework, and children are champions at picking up on the slightest fault. To limit temper tantrums, set simple rules for communication and authority management in the home. Here are three questions that can help you avoid many tantrums or get them out of the way as quickly as possible: <\/p>\n

  1. What makes you the angriest?<\/li>\n
  2. How would you like us to react in these moments of anger (talking, solitude, attention or tranquility etc.)?<\/li>\n
  3. What rules could we put in place to prevent these situations from recurring?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Remember: there’s no such thing as perfection, but communication can make up for any imperfections! Create your own rules for your home. The most important thing is harmony and peace. Leave aside what people say or think – they’ll see the results! <\/p>\n
